Butterfly, White Four Ring (Ypthima ceylonica). The Sri Lanka Hanging Parrot (Loriculus beryllinus). The Sri Lanka Lion or Ceylon Lion (Panthera leo sinhaleyus) bearing a sword. Reverse: Naga Raja carved guard stone with guardian deities at the entrance of a monastic building, Abhayagiri Monastery, Anuradhapura, ca. 1895. Malpadaya Netuma dancer and a Davul Bera drummer. Dvithva Liya Vela, a stylized floral motif, appears along the right side of the note. Watermark: Sri Lanka Hanging Parrot, "1000" and reinforced cornerstones. Predominant colour: Green.
